Date-Coconut Milkshake Recipe

This plant based voyage just got even yummier with this refreshing beverage. Whether you drink this as a morning smoothie, nighttime treat, or holiday party cocktail, it’s love at first sip. Plant based, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free – this drink is as healthy as it is tasty.

Wonderfully delicious, dates are packed with an impressive list of phyotnutrients, vitamins, and minerals that are essential for normal growth, development, and overall well-being.

When eaten, they replenish energy and revitalize the body instantly. For these qualities, they traditionally have been served to break the fast during Ramadan month since ancient times.

The fruit is rich in dietary fiber, which prevents LDL cholesterol absorption in the gut. Additionally, the fiber diet works as a bulk laxative. It, thus, helps protect the colon mucus membrane from cancer-causing chemicals binding to it in the colon.

Date-Coconut Milkshakes, makes 2

2 cup unsweetened toasted coconut almond milk

1/4 cup firmly packed chopped pitted dates

1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt

1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice

1 cup ice

Directions:

Put all ingredients in Vitamix or blender and blend on high for 1 minute.
